Description
In 1890, the stone carver David Hummel used limestone to create an image of the Green Man – a legendary figure symbolizing natural rebirth. The carving decorated a business building until it was torn down in 1991.

Preserved by Walnut Hills boosters, the sculpture was used as the centerpiece in a park on the same site. Green Man Park was dedicated in 2017. It has become a fixture in the revitalized neighborhood of Peebles Corner.
